Research Interests:

-Life history and ecology of Hexagenia limbata (a burrowing mayfly) especially nymphs

-Lotic ecology and hydrology

-Salmo trutta L. (Brown trout) ecology

-Aquatic macroinvertebrate ecology

-Invasion biology and ecology especially the direct and indirect effects invaders have on the structure and function of stream communities.

Current Projects:

Thermal patterns in the groundwater-fed Straight River (near Osage, MN)

Life history and ecology of a burrowing mayfly (Hexagenia limbata) in small streams.

 

Other Interests:

I enjoy spending time with my wife Marylee and son Erron, hunting (deer, phesant, ducks, ruffed grouse), fishing (open water and ice), darkhouse spearing, camping, water skiing, traveling, boating,scuba diving, and watching baseball, hockey and football.
